No idea where it comes from. I just tend to use it as a conversational interruption / starter.

Yes, I really did get fired. Or I believe the correct term is "laid-off" seeing as how I did nothing wrong , but they claim they can no longer afford to employ everyone on the team and I, apparently, drew the short straw.

It's not all bad though, it gave me enough of a kick up the bahookie to return to education. I start the new course in 24 days, which when I stop to actually think about it isn't that long and I've made this decision rather quickly (in two hours or so). Oh well, it'll be an adventure.

Part-time course in Teaching English as a foreign language, since I've done the practical side before I just wasn't technically qualified to do it. The bit of paper should theoretically let me do the same stuff I did before but with a bigger paycheck. Plus part-time means I can watch loads of crappy daytime tv! Yay! And anything is better than the office work which I loathe so.

...just be sure youre brain doesnt rot away watching cash in the attic, and home in the sun all day.....
