Dublin meet?

Post 1

Hi Azara,

I hope all is well - I know you were sick a few weeks ago, so I hope things are on the mend.

Due to a rather onerous mix-up involving a get-together with some friends, I will now be in Dublin on the 11th of April. Nora says that she will be able to meet up. I will send out a place and time to meet closer to the date. It will probably be fairly late in the evening, as I plan to come up from Cork that afternoon. I hope you will be able to attend.

Talk to you soon, and I hope all is well,

Woodpigeon

Hi, Woodpigeon!

I think I should be able to make it to a meet on the 11th. I'm fine now, but I haven't had much time here on h2g2 lately. Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing you and Nora!

Hi Azara - I am still due to go to Dublin on the 11th - if I can handle the traffic on that infernal road!

I was thinking - would you prefer a meet-up in the city or the outskirts, ie. Stillorgan or Blackrock? I am thinking about McDaids in Grafton St if it is the city, or perhaps the Mad Hatter in Blackrock otherwise. I am not sure what these places are like nowadays, so any better option will certainly be considered!

Hope all is well,

Hi, Woodpigeon!

I'm still interested in the meet-up. Either place would suit me fine - I'm not well up on pubs generally, so I'm afraid I can't make any dependable suggestions myself.

smiley - cheers

Hi Azara,

I am thinking about meeting in front of Bewleys on Westmoreland St. Maybe 9.30? A pub might be just that little bit too frenetic and we might easily miss each other... What do you think?

Gnomon - time to move on

The traditional way for h2g2 researchers to recognise each other in the crowd is to carry a copy of a Douglas Adams book.

Oops - I must check - I think I only have the Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide! Its a bit of a tome to be carrying around!

Mind you, I do have the "Meaning of Liff" somewhere...

There's no chance you can make it?
