Actually, that was the one point I was going to query (when I have enough time
I always understood that all the soils over limestone are neutral or alkaline - pretty well everywhere from Dublin to the Burren, for example. Unfortunately I can't lay my hand on a simple enough description to confirm this just at the minute! I'll have a look in the next couple of days.
