"From" is a bit difficult with me, but I currently live in Wuppertal, Germany (in North-Rhine Westphalia) to go to Uni, and home is in Lower Saxony, where I am now during break... And Wuppertal has just been voted "The most beautiful open sewer in Germany", so make what you will of that...

Niedersachsen? Ich bin dort nie gewesen, obwohl man sagt, dass es ein schönes Gebiet ist. Ein Freund von mir, der in Niedersachsen ein Jahr oder zwei verbrachte, erzählte mir, dass der Dialekt ziemlich schwierig zu verstehen war, aber die Landschaft war absolut toll. Stimmt das?

Ja, hier spricht man Plattdeutsch - aber die Landschaft ist wirklich toll, ich wünschte ich hätte ein Pferd!
Yes, the dialect is Low German - and the landscape really is great, I wish I had a horse!
