Hi Ohio Lady
MoFoLo Started conversation Feb 22, 2005
I was purusing some of the conversations of one of my friends and notice a thread called Winter in Ohio. When I looked in upon this conversation I saw where you said you are in New London. Just thought I would tell you this guy lives in Toledo and works in Bowling Green. I find it fantastic that this is traveling over 7,00 miles to UK and then back again another 7,000 miles and we live just about 125 miles apart. Sounds like one of my usual shortcuts where I was taking my daughter to have her first baby and somehow I ended up in Michigan.

I lived in Toledo all last Summer. I was in MCO. Someone tried to kill me! Arsenic! Can't say I enjoyed myself whilst I was there but at least I cqan still sit up and suck air
I've been to several seminars, etc. in Toledo. Nice area!
Your post made me remember the first time I TRIED to go to Toledo ... I ended up in Detroit! I managed to find my way to the seminar just before the first day was over, slip in, grab my attendance certificate and hit the hotel.

This is wierd. I never saw this post. Anyway I thought of you when my wife and I took a ride on the turnpike past Cleveland. We wemt south and then back home. We past New London. It does seem like a nice area to live in. Gotta go. Just get started and Bonnie says she is hungry. That and my grandson I call midget is calling me. Bebop, Bebop, Bebop. Sure would like to know why he started calling me that.

Oh another thing, I had a similar situation and I live here. My daughter was having her first born. I decided to take a short cut using the expressway. When I saw the exit to Temperance I knew I had gone too far. After she got to the hospital she had the boy within two hours. Actually was her easiest even though he was 10 pounds 4 ounces.
Hi Ohio Lady
Pandora...Born Again Tart Posted May 27, 2005
That is the reason I've never had children. 10 pounds + indeed!
I can handle being lost on a deserted island, shot & removing the bullet myself, beaten, stabbed & maced but never EVER would I dare pass a child
through my birth cann~~~~~~~~~~~~~
p.s.
as long as all the other ladies have um, there's always one to cuddle & then send home when he/she becomes fussy!

When I look at this thread I keep thinking of what you said about MCO. The more I think about it the more I am thinking that some one actually tried to do you in with arsenic. Is this true? Because of your long stay does that mean that there are long lasting or permanent damages?
As for driving, I was forever trying to find quicker and shorter ways of getting to a place. Unfortunatly I was forever getting lost and ending up taking three times as long getting anywheres. I don't get lost as much now but I usually travel by compass and so no matter how far I go I know to just to reverse my directions and once I hit Toledo area I have it made. Plus with a cell phone I just call where ever I am going and have them guide me if I get off the beaten path.

A CELL phone! You're smart!
I refuse to be sucked into this Century. I say as I bang away at my iMAC.
Whenever I become totally lost I just FIND a phoneand call the police or whomever is in charge of where I think I am. I tell them I'm at the corner of:
Walk & Don't Walk & could they please help me get back on track?
Sometimes I've even been "escorted" to the proper exit.
As for my stay at MCO ... now I know why I awakened thinking of that place. Thanks Mo.
Yes, someone has tried to do me in with arsenic.
I know this will come as a total shock but over my 48 years I have managed to tick off a whole slew of men.
I was in protective care in the local hospital because a fellow who shot two people & then came after me was let out of prison. Doesn't instill calm in a person I'll tell you that much.
Then upon my return, my dog fell down & the Vet couldn't save her!! I didn't think to have an autopsy done until after she was gone.
Then in Jan. my dearest friend in all the World - who was shooing men away from me who he thought were a danger to me, was found dead in his home!!!
He was only 46! He was a construction worker & body builder but they found him dead with a needle in his arm & an over dose of SMACK! They didn't think anything of the fact he was in his kitchen AND his head was bashed in.
The detectives tell me, "There's no need for a P.I., that's what we're here for."
Sleep safe tonight aye?!
I am armed to the teeth here & feel sorry for anyone foolish enough to throw me a surprise party!
Hope this won't scare you off. I'd say you're in the safety zone.
I was told I would never walk again. Maybe never regain the use of my hands. It's a painful struggle. I wouldn't kill a bug with arsenic!! Nasty stuff that. But last Tuesday I'm pleased to report, I walked down two & a half flights of stairs & took a ride to renew my driver's liscense.
No body tells ME what ta' do!
I see the parade is about to start! I've got to get to the porch so I can shout & clap for the Veterans!!! (everyone looks at me like I'm nutz - 'cept for the Vets!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My daughter Mary-Kay might have stories to swap with you. Her first born, the son I am raising, was the result of a 22 year old man. He wouldn't admit his deeds and we kept him out of the picture.
Marquise father moved to Indiana, got a degree and doing well. Except for making child support.
Andre's father was an honor student at a prestigious Cahtholic High School. He was an MP in the Navy. Got suckered into driving a stolen vehicle in Atlanta, GA. and now can kiss being a cop goodbye. Rumor is he is being sought by the police for being behind on his child support.
The midget, Malique, won't see his father before he is eighteen. That is the earliest the guy can get out of the penitentury for murder. Malique isn't really a midget but below average in highth for his age. What he lacks in size he more than makes up for it in agility and strength. He just turn three on Cinco de Mayo.
Is there any kind of thread here.
In concern for your mental well being I will refrain from mentioning MCO or the old Irish lace that Bonnie has.
If ever you are in Toledo for anything let me know and I will try to make myself and Bonnie available to take you to tea. Actually I am a coffee man myself but it sounded more civilized to say tea.
If Shirps ever gets her kitchen done and sends some we cam share that too. I worked today but got to seem some of the Bowling Green parade. I work in the same building as the town's post office. I do billing for a mental health and chemical dependancy clinic.
Ciao,
Mo

Pandora...Born Again Tart Posted Jun 2, 2005
I'm actually a mental health professional. So, worry not about my noodle!
After such debilitating illness & before starting re-hab MCO has you look at ink blots, etc. w/their resident shrink. She told my Doc she wished HER own head was screwed on as well as mine!
It's nice to not have you freaked out over what's happened to me. There's a lot more cloak & dagger stuff ... maybe later.
People always seem shocked & say things like, "That's the kind of stuff you see in movies." Well ... where do they think the ideas originate??
I raised my sister' son until she decided she was okay enough & reclaimed him. That kid never smile in any of his pictures after he went "home".
It's a good thing you two are doing!
I jussss dislike deadbeats sooooo much. My nephew's biological father was like that ... he even call after Christmas & say things like, "Did you get the TV I sent?" Etc.. There should be a huntin season for guys like that. Just like how they do in the metro parks when the deer are too many for the area.
Natch, I don't talk like THIS during sessions. But it IS how I feel.
I'd love to have coffee w/y sometime. &/or if you're ever in NL again - I'll even let you in the house! I have a sign on the door that reads: Day sleeper, go away, love, the doberman.
Yesterday someone came to tell me the location of the shooter. He actually skinned a young woman w/a big blade & they let him out! He did 20 years & a bit extra because he wa bad while in there. He also wrote & said he'd kill me & sent the same letter to his ex wife! Neither of us kept the letter(s) so they couldn't use it against him. But the police have warned me not to shoot first & ask questions later. I'm sure they just mixed their metaphors.
I'm a pretty tough gal - but sometimes I'd like to just sleep outside in the hammock. (and not have my gun under the pillow)
Shirps & I have been friends 5 years now ...
When I was in MCO an amazing thing happened ... my Hiker friends from here began calling, writing & sending me stuff!!
I think Wrinkled Rocker wins for the furtherest call - S. Africa!
People talk about RL (real life) - this Sir, is as real as it gets!

Hey Pan,
You seem to have encountered a bit more than I have at least in the danger field. The closes I had was the time a counselor at Goodwill tried to rape me when I was around 20 years old. It probably could have been worse had I been belligerent.
Later the same guy killed another young man and dropped his body in a ditch on I75 back around 1963. Knifed him. Wasn't the knife he used on me. I got a hold of the blade and hung on for dear life. He had it against my neck initially. The reason I know it wasn't the same knife is because we agreed to put the knife on the refrigerator and let go at the same time. I didn't let go and as he walked back to the bedroom I stuck it down my skivvies. The guy that went states evidence against John was Lacey.
In less than a week I had a job as a night auditor for a motel. He was one hell of a counselor. No one ever got me a job so fast.
Anyway, I can see you are a rebounder and not one to give up easily. Like that.
Took Bonnie this morning to MUH/MUO. There is no MCO anymore. It is Medical University Hospital and Medical University of Ohio. The staff is not allowed to used the abreviation. So when I called about dental I get, "Good morning. Medical University Hospital. Dental ." About the time they get to the end the one nurse said that she hopes they hang up. Not sure why. But most people say, "Is this MCO?" Some times I think they have too much time on their hands in those board meetings. MCO in it's short history has recognition. Sorry, I like innovative changes but change for the sake of change just boggles my mind.
Well it is to bed early tonight. I am a tired .

Sorry I haven't been around much. Life is always so, so full of, stuff.
You held onto a knife?
I was playing paint ball once with my team (F Troop) and some guy who showed up on his own had a full blown flash back to Nam! Musta' been the Good Lord's way of showing me how serious PTSD can be ... This fella' grabbed me by the throat with a BIGA$$ hunting thingie~! He dragged me back & into the 'out of bounds' woods where he held me like a shield!!
Natch all my team mates shoot me repeatedly to distract him while two of the guys went around & took him down from behind.
That wasn't any fun.
I got a knife in the side during one of my store's robberies. Never thought about grabbing the thing. But there was a big chase scene & the bad guys were caught & luckiy the gun jammed when I fired & the second bullet only broke the window out of my door. Seems there's a law in Ohio about NOT shooting at a fleeing criminal. Who knew?!
So, what's new?

MoFoLo Posted Jun 28, 2005
Dear tart,
I am taking a sabatical of sorts. I will be back but have to face a lot of financial problems which makes being on here difficult. I find you are a very interesting person that seems to have survived some interesting moments in life. I feel sorry for those who haven't lived our life of Reilly. Save me a spot down the road for some conversation time. Hope getting your license back has made your life a little brighter. Sort of like the old lamplighter of long, long ago.. Man, do I get weird at times or what?
See ya kid.

Mo!
"Storming?!" First my sister's dog died, then the breaks went out on my car and I'd just had the entire thing gone over before I went to MCO because I WAS going to FLA..THEN one of the new cats peed on my bed spread...ever try getting *that* smell out?!
And I only threw things across the room that I didn't have to clean up,
you know, stuff that wouldn't break. (my mama tought me that)
THEN"Storming" indeed. That was jussss a mild crying jag.
They ain't seen nuthin' yet!
So, how've you been?
Hi Ohio Lady
MoFoLo Posted Jul 26, 2005
Bonnie would throw things about every 20 days or so. Unfortunately not always soft things and not just her personal things.
Discovered with our Cable company telephone system our area is much larger. I now can call restaurants in New London for reservations without incurring a long distance charge.
"Hello, McDonald's? Yes, I would like to reserve a table for two at 4:30. We're coming from Toledo...click...and we....What the heck???!!?? Bonnie, I think they hung up on me!!?"
I took a day off Monday and didn't tell Bonnie. Took Ant to a movie and went down to Defiance to Menards and picked up an inexpensive(read cheap) window fan.
We saw "The Island", If you enjoy sci-fi this was a pretty good movie.

You mean talking pictures! ... Oh I love um
Thing is I haven't been to the DRIVE IN <--- you read that right ... in a couple years. I don't know if the Drive in is still open in Norwalk or not. The only other *near by* theatre w/a screen is in Ashland. NL use to have a theatre ...
but that was way before my time.
Do *I* like Sci-Fi?? Funny you should ask ... I listening to a CD a fellow I met right here on hootoo sent me. ... you see ... I had a dream. What a dream.
And now I'm working on a ScreenPlay. It's a Sci-Fi ... only I'm not so certain about the 'Fi' part ... ... it could be ...*whispers...* "true"
Wadda'ya' mean you can call NL sans fee??? You should see what we paid for phone calls while I was a guest in your fair City.
Feel FREE - so to speak - to call me anytime. 'Cept this week 'cause I'm off for a bit-o R&R. ... wait ... I can't put my # here!
Shame on you for making fun of our eateries. I've only had food poisoning once!
Myhell it's raining cats! I've caught two in a net so far
