Dearest girl,
We have had around 10 inches of snow, today......and I feel fine! (I was bought up not far from the Peak District National Park, so I'm right at home in this).
Thank you for being so kind....you make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud! Sometimes you make me shiver.
You are better than , better than
, better than...well...just better!
Gentle, shy hugs for you
Oh, and derbylad4 will get me, on yahoo

10 inches!
oh my ...
Derby, you say the kindest things.
What a talent for knowing good humor when you read it~!!!
And may I comend you on your choice of B.A.T.s?
*We* got another ???? inches as well. I was at my trainer's ranch & was nearly snowed in. When I was leaving I tried to tell him his steps were all ice. Nothing makes the heart go aflutter than to see a martial arts black belt take a flying leap off the porch only to act as though he'd meant to~!
Sorta' like watching a cat fall asleep & tip over from a chair only to pretend it was intentional.
...
Besides, better him than me!
I'm going to beg off any new E-mail friends until after the holidaze.
I have company coming. I mean, like, to stay here.
I do like people ...
but I'd rather have a tooth pulled with a rusty plier than have this person here. There goes Christmas.
...*wondering how much a snow making machine costs to rent...*

Why don't you pull this horrid person's teeth with a jolly festive pair of Christmas pliers? That way they will NEVER come back.........
I am SO so sorry that your holiday will be degraded by this person; you deserve a great deal better, I am sure. I have already started making Christmas Spice Scones (to my grandmother's recipe) and I'm distributing them around various offices at the hospital (a kind of bribe, really!)
Dearest girl......snow? But of course! Anything for the cutest of B.A.T.s

You can get a cheaper one (which uses 300lb blocks of ice - which your personal trainer can lift for you, of course!)
Gentle hugs, sweet Pan

Derby, you're spoiling me!
I do love that in a person.
This poor friend has no friends in all the World. Isn't that the saddest thing? I mean other than *I* will be putting her up for day after day.<?> We met in swim class when we were five years old & I haven't been able to get, er
loose touch no matter where I move. What radar!! She should get w*rk for the Government or sumthin'.
So, you're MAKING food??
Wish that I were domestic.
I mean, I'm house broken!!! I just don't know the difference between the coffee maker & the toast buring thingie.
To me ... I do well to pick up my feet as someone comes by with a vaccume cleaner

My mother (bless her) became blind in her 40s; both she and Pop were disabled. Bro was away in the Army, so I learnt to do.....everything! She was a Master Pastry Cook, and I now bake three times a week (artisan breads, vanilla cake, scones - that was Monday night). When I know you better, I will send you a PHOTOGRAPH - of some of my breads!~
I also cook 90% of all meals - "from scratch", using mostly organic ingredients. Last night was a hearty vegetable stew with lentils (the temperature was around 16 degrees, outside) and some chunks of garlic bread I had baked ('studded' on the top with diced tomato, and brushed with olive oil)
I also do all the food shopping, clean, take out trash, wash dishes (after all meals)....and am FULLY house-broken!
As to your friend.....I would suggest that you find a dumb....sorry, WILLING male, to 'take her off your hands'. That way, she would completely enchanted, and have a whale of a time decorating their little nest each Christmas. She will probably invite you to be with THEM each year, but you can regretfully decline due to 'pressing personal problems' such as the urgent need for you to become elected as the first woman President of the USA!
Now, I must dash and do more work.......until later, sweetest of B.A.T.s!

You dare jest about mio` becoming the 1st "Lady Prez"????
I'll have you know that I was being groomed for just that spot from age 15 - 21. Every two years the men in black would come from D.C. to quiz me etc.. (did sorta' shake me up when the FDI showed up -
I felt like confessing things I hadn't even thought of, least of all the things I'd done
)
I was very prolific in local govn. & even ran a charity org. that I thought up over a tall drink of scotch at a local club. Now when people ask me to join this or that I just say, "Already did my time."
Sad about your parents. But what a wonderful legacy!
You'd be surprised by how much we seemingly have in common~! You're just like me~! Only different~!
I was always shooed out of the kitchen. Poor me. Couldn't even wash a dish properly. Shame.
I had a two room flat & a twice weekly house keeper!
I actually thought men would leave me alone.
But one after another ... trying to teach me to cook.
After you nearly burn down a fella's place they sorta' give up the cooking lessons.
I also detest shopping.
I mean, *I* wouldn't feel right about cotributing to a poor kid loosing a delivery job!
As for MRS. F. ~ she's coming here to get away from her HUSBAND.
Besides I like most of my men friends WAY too much to shove her at um.
She's mentally unbalanced. No joke.
Naturally all my friends ARE~ but this one's just gone. ...one toke over the line!

Dearest sweet girl.....
I KNEW that there was a reason why I was waiting to become a citizen - it was so I could vote for YOUuuuuuuuuuu!!!
So....we are very much alike, then? Apart from the odd (significant) difference? I await, with anticipation, the revelations to come...
One of these fine days, in a not-so public forum, I will tell you the tale of my coming to America. Unlike Eddie Murphy, it was not a happy arrival - and went downhill from there.
Never the less, I continue to work, bake, clean and cook.......a man has his dignity, after all.
The night is a lovely chill one.......it should be down to about -2 degrees by around 2am. I shall be doing my famous (infamous?) 'hibernating bear' impression, under about three quilts and a coverlet!
Later, sweet, gentle girl

Bless you for that!
My desk is covered in work.........but I have NOT forgotten you - I shall write more, later, I promise!
Soft, sweet

Dearest lambkin! (a Mediaeval expression of affection of which I am very fond)
I do so hope that you are well? I have missed you - something fierce. I know that you are likely to be extremely busy - Mrs F, et cetera - but I have not forgotten you.............
The town in which I live is the second richest in the USA (on average); it is home to TWO colleges (one a member of the 'Seven Sisters'), so the shops are a sight to behold. NO price tags in many of the boutiques - if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. Needless to say, I am NOT it the tax bracket of many of the residents, but I enjoy strolling downtown and window shoping.
The Christmas lights are up on the trees, and the municipal 'Holly Trolley' is running around (there will be a horse-drawn hayride on Saturday); I think you would enjoy the sights.
I point of all this? There are several very fine jewellers (OK, 'jewelers', if you must)...which you would ENJOY!!
Have a lovely Christmas, dear girl.........
