>>... but I was not aware of the militant process these entries were subjected to and I apologoze if I have offended anyone in this particular post."

I would very much appreciate if you could explain this impression!
I'm sure nobody tried to launch an attack! Months ago people were starving on the Peer Review, for *lack* of feedback (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A487253 , Feedback on PR).

These days it seems that researchers are shocked when comments pour down on them smiley - erm , and I guess you felt yourself standing alone *against* (not along with) an allied force of Aces, Gurus, Scouts & whatnot). Sure, the comment from whoami wasn't all too polite. But apart from the paid h2g2 staff (the ones with their names in italics, or the Italics in short), *all* people around here (including ACEs, Gurus, SubEds and Scouts) are researchers and volunteers, and *learning*.

I'd love to learn more! smiley - smiley

As far as my imression of the Peer Review Process I was struck by how much an article is pulled apart by sheer diction and punctuation choice rather than content. . .that seems counter productive. . .I made the post becasue I wanted the advice of my fellow "Peers," I singled no one out for this blasting of my article. . that wasn't my intention and if someone felt personally blamed I feel for them...though I don't feel sorry for them because then that means they knewe their reply was out of line. . .Some people openly admitted not reading my article and did not plan on it becasue it is first person. . .and others called it something like a disrespectful attempt to slide humor by. . though if the article was read you would see that the subject is somber not humor. . .Like I said I sought only for a review from my fellow researchers, so I can edit this in a more proficinet manner. . I am an infantry officer who only knows what to do in an attack.. .perhaps someone else has a more scientifc knowledge of this and that is why I offered it up to a more read board than the ones I have posted before. . .And input was well recieved, but some people flat out refused to honor this post because of the manner in which it was wrote...tha is what I meant. . .

Well, as I said in the thread over at PR: considering the background of yours, you are the right guy to write this entry (or update, or whatever. Guide entries are written for the layman to understand, and a chemics professor would start writing in formulas.

Another point occurs to me: somehow you seem to accept the other posters as authorities over you. Untrue smiley - smiley They are just these guys, you know, good ones and less good ones. There are no superiors around here smiley - winkeye, perhaps except for the more powerful Italics.

Keep up the good work smiley - ok
