h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I saw that you are using "Intrigue my body and seduce my mind" as your nickname on one of the IM messaging services, and I was both suprised and upset by that. Not so much that you used it, (it is a compliment of a sort, I guess), but that you had not contacted me to say that you would like to use it.

You are a writer yourself, (and I still remember the entry "Jealousy/Emerald" in AWW with pleasure), so I am sure that you will appreciate that I tend to be careful about what happens to the words that I write. I am very happy to share them, flattered when people like them, and grateful that they have read them at all.

However those seven words sum up some things which are very important to me, and although I am willing to share those things through the filter of poetry with complete strangers, I am not so happy sharing my thoughts and feelings about those things in discussions with anyone other than my close friends. This is one of the various reasons that I took my poetry off h2g2.

I have been thinking very carefully about this situation. If you can see why I should be upset that you did not ask me, and are willing to reply to this post about it, then - fair enough - use the words with my blessing. If you want to reply by email offsite, then my email address is [email protected]. You already know my hotmail address, though I don't use it.

But if you think that my pain is fair game to toss around the internet and to take the credit for it yourself - then - sorry - but no. That isn't ok at all.

I did just check the hotmail account. (I only have it so I can have the MSN account). I can see that you tried contacting me in July.

My apologies for not picking it up. As it says in my U-space, it isn't an account I use for mail at all.
