h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

What games do you play? All I seem to play these days is White Wolf.

I play White Wolf's Abberant as a tabletop.

I also play Omega ([URL removed by moderator]) and Help run a series of live Ars Magica based semi-freeforms with a group called New World Order Games ([URL removed by moderator])

I get a bit tired of everyone thinking that all roleplaying revolves around V:TM
*sigh*
*shrug*

Oh, I should also point out that I've played loads of other stuff in the past, but it was costing me too much of a real life. So I cut down.

I do want to attend more LARP events though.

I'll reserve comment on other roleplaying situations.

I haven't been to TG yet, even though I've been invited a couple of times.
I like to have fun dressing up, but as far as my previous experiences indicate, scene-ing just ain't my scene.
..not in nightclubs anyway.

I only did 2 LARPs, as they made me too tired.

I've just started playing V:TDA, not played V:TM. The one I've played for the past 2 years is Changeling. I don't get on too well in online games. It's more of a social evening to me, so I like to see who I am throwing things at.

I played a TDA live game.

Mucho fun.

I know what you mean about online games... but whilst the rest of the proletariat are sitting in front of their goggle-boxes, I prefer to sit in front of mine and press buttons.

That said, I've not seen much actual 'roleplay' online.

As a friend of mine would say, online games have a high 'muppet' ratio.

I often think of h2g2 as online roleplaying. There is actually a bit of proper role playing going on here in various places, but it's all a bit hit and miss really.
I just march around pretending to be important.

On the rare occasions that I escape the cage, you may find that I rarely ever speak/type as myself.

Not without additional narration anyway...

*thunk*

*runs off into the distance, howls at the spoon, returns carrying a ladle and a picture of the 'Rock'.*

Whaddya reckon? I thought it might help him with his cooking?

I think I might need something for defence, it's looking a bit dodgy in here...
