Hello
Thought I'd pop by since our paths have crossed, and you have made me laugh out loud, which is always good.
Richard Bandler is one of the founders of NLP - which may put you off him.
On the other hand he winds psychotherapists, doctors, and psychologists up no end. Which is a definite plus. He points out that it says "Psycho The Rapist" on the door of their offices.... a small point but a good one, I think.
He is sometimes accused of being in league with Satan. He denies it, but says Satan does odd-jobs for him on occasions. Your Jehovah-witness story reminded me strongly of him, which is why I mentioned it.
Do you have any spare angry cats I can borrow? The last one I had is in Sweden.
All the best

An Explanation Might Be Nice, Mr. Moderator.

Okay, I'm feeling somewhat perplexed.
I mentioned the BBC once, a hypnotist twice, a certain BBC program once, and a lengthy (and entirely fictitious) passage on using a cat as a method of removing Jehovah's Witnesses from your doorstep.
And then my post goes missing for 'moderation'.
(I'm presuming some soul took offence at the "cat as an offensive weapon" routine)
You seriously expect someone, after reading an extended (and rather poor) joke, to go away and perform the impossible on some hapless feline? How can a cat be used to cut down a tree for God, Jehova, and sweet Bhudda's sake?
It was in bad taste perhaps (if you're a member of the WWF for example; The Rock sure loves his animals), but it was blatantly A JOKE. It's a shame you can't use HTML here, because I'd underline that word and make it bold. Possibly italic as well.
In fact, I'd make it blink on and off in a wholly damning manner.
I mean, certain other threads contain a fantastic amount of expletives and yet all you do is edit them out. There's a thread on doing away with musicians. Yet it stays. To use your reasoning then the next time the BBC bothers to repeat Monty Python's Flying Circus the entirety of the 'Parrot Sketch' will have to be removed in case impressionable pet shop owners begin flogging dead parrots to unsuspecting members of the public.
Do you realise that I've actually become apopleptic with rage? I'm in such a state I can't even find a decent insult without blotches dancing in front of my eyes and the keyboard suddenly growing distant.
If it wasn't for the single fact that the delectable Charlotte Ohlenbrooke occasionally appears on wildlife documentaries on BBC 2, then I'd seriously begin losing faith in Auntie Beeb.
Perhaps I was right in one of my earlier messages, and the moderation department *does* spend much of its time running around and flapping its hands in the air. But I suspect I'm being harsh with that. Which is why I damn well said it.
Yours, angrily, annoyedly, distinctly peevedly, and considering going-out-into-the-street-and-diverting-traffic-into-brick-walls-as-a-way-of-abating-my-temper-ly,
The Apathetic.

Well, the Moderators have done my head in a few times, but on the other hand I think I may have done their heads in a few times too.
Did you quote copyright material at length? Or include a URL? They can also be hypersensitive to religious comments. I fail to see why offending someone's religious beliefs is more offensive than offending my belief in freedom of speech. But there you go. True belief should rise above such minor irritants as online flaming and an angry cat.
Bizzare as bizaare can be, the ways of the moderators. (Though I think they have probably been given pretty woolly instructions, myself).
"There's a thread on doing away with musicians" - that is one of mine I'm afraid. Though all I wanted to do was find out which supposed sex-gods are a complete turn-off. Robbie Williams was the one who started the thought. Pur-leeese. I dont think so.
All the best
