Hi Shagbark. I'm subbing your "New Hampshire" entry at A67976987.
I notice you have Paul Revere's ride on 13 December 1774, but Wikipedia lists it as 18 April 1775. Can you look into this, please?
- Is the date you give for the ride wrong?
- Is the date you give for the raid on Portsmouth wrong?
- Was Paul Revere's ride before the raid or was it associated with something else?

they were probably two seperate events.
My wife mentioned that she had been to the location of the one in the poem and it was nowhere near the state.
Yet the state almanac says the only time A battle of the Revolution was fought there was when the British and the Minute-Men(Sons of Liberty) fought over the fort in the harbour.
I will try and get a link. Maybe Paul Revere didn't enter into the picture.

I think this sheds some light on the matter

obviously I mispoke when I said <>
it was precipitated by a visit from Paul Revere but not on his more famous ride four months later. Perhaps a footnote is in order to mention the second ride?

Is the famous ride anything to do with New Hampshire? If so, it should be in the text, not in a footnote. If it is nothing to do with New Hampshire, then I'll just remove the reference to Paul Revere.

The Famous ride has nothing to do with New Hampshire.
In December 1774 about 400 locals overwhelmed the six Brits guarding the fort, took down the British flag, and stole its munitions. Had they been named they could have been hung for treason.
