h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hiya,

I'm currently working on an entry to go into PR about Project Daedalus (as a sort of companion to my one about HOTOL) and I notice you did the entry on BArnard's Star which includes a short para on Daedalus.

As such I wondered if you'd be able to cast an eye across my Daedalus article at A49659727. It is still pre-pr so if you'd rather wait for that (or rather not look at it at all!) then that's fine. But I'd appreciate any input you might have. Prob full of style and spelling errors at the moment though!

I'll take a look at it. Others are better at spelling errors and that kind of thing than I am. so I am mainly looking at content.

One thing I think it needs is some opening statement to fire the imagination so people will keep reading.
Maybe something like- Is it possible to send a spacecraft to the stars and get back images within one lifetime? The Project Daedelus team thought so.
One thing that occurred to me treading this
You spoke of the probes arriving at a different time than the spacecraft.
You might mention if their drives were planned to decelerate them and point them at their target.
I also wonder if this project had any effect as a precursur to the Cassini Huygens project.

Also the Planetary Society has been thinking about interstellar flight.
