One thing I am slightly worried about.

today is 8 May
Yet the article bears the date 1 April
anytime I see that date on an article I wonder if I am the victim of an April Fools joke. I would hope when it goes on the front page that it would bear the day it became a member of the EG not the day it was recommended.

That was the date the new page was made. Articles get assigned to subs as and when they can take some (we're all volunteers, who have real lives, after all) the queue is five weeks deep.

When you say it's OK I press a button and it goes back to the Eds - it will then appear as "pending" on your PS. That will probably be the date the Eds give it a "final polish" and it will remain that date until the day it graces the Front Page when it will have a new (permanent) date, the day it goes "live".

I never let Wiki links through when I'm subbing. Have you read my Entry on Canes Venatici, A31299168 in PR? Specifically the Meteor Showers section. Then you'll see why. It's not the first time either.

I need to return Scutum so I can request some more articles to sub from ComingUp so please tell me if it meets with your approval or not
