Do you know any good places to find out more about bigger rockets. Success with a ready to fly model has given me a taste for the big time. Information on any books or suppliers of materials would be useful. Are there clubs for these sorts of things?

Hi Steve,
Sorry to be so long in giving you a reply.
High power rocketry is much more difficult & expensive than model rocketry. The parts for my latest rocket cost > £1000. I tend to buy parts and supplies from the US, but there are also some UK suppliers.
If you want to buy & store larger rocket motors you need to have a suitable explosives licence. There are quite a few clubs - I've visited the STAAR Research, annual 'International Rocket Weekend', search for their website for more details. There were many HPR launches.
It's best to work up gradually, medium size rockets are great fun & cost a lot less.
