I would think if it is done properly, with a wide enough spread of disabilities then it would benefit everybody, disabled or otherwise.

I wanted to buy apple mini mac intel dual core, but guy could not tell me if I could change the fonts with apple for easy read it! he suggested to change the screen resolution, which results less clear fonts.
I have my pc setting in way that all text is easy readable for me.
webpage designers and software makers should realise that in 5 (and bit) years the first baby boomers will be retiring that will open up a big market with people who are or will be visual challenged. plan ahead is my idea!
