In one of those fab h2g2 "Synergy Moments" I read your Peter Gabriel posts in the Baby thread...
Last night I went to see him in Oberhaused. I have to admit that I've been madly in love with him for ever and ever. What a gorgeous voice, and easy on the eye too (although, in a disturbing twist he now looks like one of my maternal uncles)
Anyway, having seen him before (fab - at the Rock Am Ring when Us came out) and having seen about a gazillion gigs I have to say that it was quite spectacular, and possibly the best gig I've ever been to (with maybe the exception of John Mellencamp)
The Reality TV (is that what it's called, I haven't managed to buy a CD in ages) part was fab, and quite menacing. I wish I'd seen the video for that.
Anyway, since I'm still on the high from that, and seeing you appear to quite like Mr. Gabriel, I had to share.

Peter Gabriel is amazing. I am bit jealous you saw him. I think he does wonderfull work with WOMAD and RealWorld.
one of his best song is Biko...

I was disappointed he didn't do that, but Solsbury Hill, while riding the bike is something that will stay with me for a loooong time.
I was saying to the ol' man last night that it's a good thing he does so much of the WOMAD stuff, his support band last night were fab, from Uzbekistan, and something I wouldn't be exposed to at all.
still over that gig, it was absolutely brilliant.

No.
he did a lot of new stuff. Which I enjoyed. Solsbury Hill, Digging in the Dirt, Sledgehammer (wore a lit up jacket for that, really cool)
Downside Up (did an amazing upside down thing) er.... trying to think...
I was really really hopig for him to Sing the Carpet Crawlers after he did that rejigged version with Genesis (in my top 10 favourite songs) but he didn't.
but still, it was
