How not to beat egg whites
Posted May 23, 2001
After another failed attempt to make Tira Misu, my friend Oliver and I have found many things that can go wrong when beating egg whites to "peaks"
1). Do not let the eggs get warm.
2). Do not try to beat more then a dozen eggs at once.
3). Do not let the egg beaters get warm.
4). Do not try to beat egg whites for more then one hour.
5). Learn to recognize a lost cause.
5). Do not try to use kinda bubbly and runny egg whites as an acceptable substitute to the desired stiffly beat egg whites, no matter how much effort it took you to produce said runny whites.
I hope this may be of some use to others.

Acoustic Cafe

The Acoustic Cafe in Winona, MN, has wonderful humice sandwhiches. They're really tastey. I'd recommend them to anyone. Their coffee is also really good, and they have soups there, too. It's a wonderful place to go hang-out, great for romantic cozy dates, or studying/reading books.
