Hi BK
My word, you've been the the wars lately, haven't you? I thought it was a bit quiet in here, but couldn't quite put my finger on the reason *why!
Now I know!Anyway, here's some good wishes (as well as a "welcome back, clumsy") for a speedy recovery to the bones, and a loo brush for the self beating you gave yourself re the temporary glitche
I think you'd have to be superhuman not to succumb to a bit of relief drinking in a circumstance like that, frankly, but I do understand alcohol's not a good friend to you, but *can be a lousy master!
And besides, underpants over the trousers is just sooo kitche, isn't it
Mind you, fair play - you stumbled, kicked yourself and stopped, didn't you? Having lived with a dry alcoholic (and occasionally a Recovering one) I've seen how difficult it is to stay stopped, so You be proud of yourself, ya hear me?
If you need a rant, then feel free - you were there for me when I needed someone to whinge pitiful to for a while, so it'd be nice to return the compliment

Hello lass, hey hows tricks with you and things, all good i hope
Even though it was a lapse that has passed now, i am still annoyed with myself for letting it happen, i know i am stronger than that, i have to be its part of my job, but as someone said a thread back or so, i am only human and it proves how weak we are deep down, even if we try not to be.
I dont feel that i need a rant, believe me a have beaten myself up enough over this, its just that its nice to have a few supportive words every now and again, sometimes i think we all need that

Hiya mate
Yeah, life's pretty good on the whole, ; youngest is straightened out a bit, still a prickly teen, but he's a lot less hassle and grief than he was. (most of the time) The Oldest is still as laid back and competent as ever, which is good.
Big news is I;m off to Cypress for 11 days in June - a girlfriend is treating me. Her mam died a couple of years ago, and she went thru a rough patch, and apparently I was a good friend to her then, so now the will's sorted, she took it into her head to take us on a holiday as a sort of thankyou; I've no doubt we'll raise a glass or two to her mam, over the course of the stay. She was a lovely lady.
And I'm a lucky Ev
The DLA *finally* came thru in December:- went to Tribunual and had my local MP as my representative, because of his presence I was awarded it - with a year's Back Pay, so now, thank gawd, I'm debt free and not not exactly rich, but there's a few quid left over at the end of each month, and enough to pay the bills, so we're doing good. And the backpay arrived in my account the Friday before Christmas, so we went ballistic in Asda's, I can tell you!
And I'm fiddlng about making up a portfolio at the moment to show off at interview with the local college; I've taken it into my head to do a mature student's Foundation Course in Fine Art, come September.
Absolutely no idea what earthly use it'll be as a career move, but I'll sort something out, I expect.
If nothing else, it'll keep me off the streets
Oh yes - and the Thanet Lads - Roy, MMF RF and I met up at Easter and researched (in some cases, quite assiduously) a vast amount of Real Ale at the local Camra festival. And I went to Nottinghamshire for a week away....and a weekend up North of Watford to Muv's..and the car's broken down twice and got fixed twice (once by me) and on the whole life is treating me well.
Oh yes - and I've found a cleaner
I'm not awfully good at flowery phrases and supportive words as a rule - I find a hug works well, but it doesn't translate well on the ether - but you've only got to shout and I'll do what I can.
In the meantime - one thought; you wouldn't be cross with a kid for making a minor cock up, so extend that kindness and tolerance to yourself, eh? I know we Scorpioes like to *think we're sh*t hot and bettr/stronger and more canny than the rest of the universe, but like it's been said before - we're just as falliable as the next hooman.
It's learning to accept it, thats the difficult bit
But its a good place to be when you get there, believe me!
No use in beating yourself over the head with a point-ed stick BK, is there? Its happened, and you've got it sorted back to normal, so
