Cool name, very musical. Which segues neatly into my invitation to come on over and join the singalong at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A528617

Wow! Let me first say, great song! Very catchy... I do have one critcism though, and don't take this the wrong way, because I really did enjoy the read, I had a hard time reading the very long sentences, particularly about the lawyers. But then again, I've never much been able to follow them, either...maybe it's me? Or the fact that I've just been ?

I know what you mean about the run on sentences. I don't normally write that way, nor do I use that form of vernacular. However, the inspiration for the piece, 'Alice's Restaurant', was put together much like my 'rendition', and I wanted to stay 'true to form'.
If you ever get a chance to listen to the original, as performed by Arlo, you'll probably get a better feeling for it. It actually works better if read out loud, as it forces you to develop a kind of rhythm. Either that or you pass out from lack of oxygen
