Here's a wonderful article from Scott D. Sampson, "Paleontoligis, Biologist, Educator". This article is so much in line with the sort of thing I'm thinking and proposing and have been writing about here, it might as well have been written by me! OK so not entirely ... but still, read what the man has to say, about how we humans must start seeing ourselves as being a part of the great Story of Life ... that other living beings are our *relatives* and that we must care for them as well ... that there must be a holistic vision in Science ... that people need to change their worldviews ... that we must start thinking about *time* as well, because the Story of Life goes back billions of years and will likely stretch billions of years into the future as well ... please, read this piece! It's long - but you folks who've been reading *my* stuff ought to be used to that by now!

This guy is *on the ball* as far as I'm concerned. The only thing ... what I realise is ... the change in worldview is going to be *traumatic*. It will involve inevitable conflict with the current mainstream views ... 'entrenched power' ... that are hostile to it. Do we want to do that to our children? But we *must* ... ! We ... we who see the need for this change ... will need incredible fortitude, we will need to protect our children ... future generations ... while we can, and we need to *arm* them as well so they can protect themselves when we aren't there any more. This WILL be a war ... a war of ideas, hopefully, rather than a physical war ... but it may turn physical, too. We will need to be steadfast and ULTRA-principled ... we will need to think about consequences, we will need to think things through like never before.
