Sparrowhawk, I feel that we've let you down.
As ACEs it is our job to scuttle along crab like to all newbies and welcome them with open arms to this, the magnum opus of our time. The Ominpresent, omnipotent, omniverous Guide to the galaxy.
An ACE is an Assistant Community Editor and we're here to hold your hand through your early days as a researcher. We're wise in the ways of the guide (at least we like to think we are) and we should be able to help if you have any problems.
We're vaguely similar to the A-Team except we don't need a MIG Welder in our day to day business and as far as I'm aware, none of us have ever been held in a high security stockade for a crime we didn't commit. Apart from that we're almost exactly not like the A-Team.
So where do I start. Where first? Well that's a good question. The best thing to do is go for a wander. See what's going on, loiter around a few conversations and pile on in as and when you feel the need.
If you do get lost, stick up a paw and someone'll come running ... if not then, perhaps limping a little but we'll make it whatever happens.
The main thing is enjoy and as I said, if you get stuck, just holler.
