It just goes to show how much advertising and so forth get into the psyche of children. My daughter is 3, and we steer clear of fast food restaurants. But only today I noticed when she was singing a certain farmyard song the lyrics went -
'Old MacDonalds had a farm'...

Really, is this still PC in the UK ? I've recently read that children nowadays have to sing: bah bah

I don't think it's really resonable to blame a children's song of a fast food chain. I sang that before I even knew what a burger was, let alone one of those horrible McDonald's burger type things.
Elena, is that really true? Even with the amount of PC today that one I find hard to believe.

Galigan, a friend told me that the children had to sing it like this at his boys' school. I've searched for the links, found these ( and a few others)

its not good at all, I mum works as a dinner lady and she sees kids just chuck food away, she is sure they are just fed on sandwiches, and so on

Oh dear is all I have to say to that. Fair enough change the word black to white or another descriptive word to encourage vocabulary growth, but rainbow sheep? Pretty sure I haven't seen one of those before. And that fully PC version near the bottom is wonderfully stupid, especially the 'it's significant other' bit.
