I'm confused. Did we ask it a question?
Paranoid fantasies
Giford Posted Jan 24, 2008
I asked how many posts Vicky had Yikes in 'this thread', before correcting myself to 'the Dawkins thread'.
Vicky replied she'd Yikesed nothing here, but didn't mention the Dawkins thread, which was what I meant to ask. Perhaps my correction wasn't so clear, so:
Vicky, how much of the Yikesing on the Dawkins thread is down to you: none, some, about half, most or all of it?

Oh crikey Gif. Are you expecting some kind of response related to veracity? On what evidence do you base this assumption? Really I've given up attempting anything remotely related to rationality in communicating with... But
In my opinion all evidence is suggesting little hope of any response other than something I can only take to be surreal. In fact I've now realised that the only way I can retain any kind of sanity at present on a thread involving......is to assume I'm dreaming, and so I no longer need to panic or worry about what transpires because sooner or later I'll wake up...
It's amazing the strategies the human brain can come up with when dealing with an ongoing nightmare.
We of shaky sanity have to come up with all manner of lateral thinking tricks to deal with the many forms of the 'diabolical'.

Just to think about this sideways...TPTB have deemed in their infinite wisdom that there shall be a Yikes facility. We may agree or disagree with that (and I happen to think there's a case in favour). But we should hardly be surprised if anyone uses it.

Hey, Gif:
Those of us who are tired of watching threads collapse into the black hole of troll egomania have chosen to stop feeding trolls generally and specifically this one.
There has NEVER, NOT ONCE been a civil, intelligent discussion with that one.
Please, for the sake of this discussion and those of us who take it seriously, don't let it suck you in to believing that there is any hope of human interaction. There isn't any.

And the best way to do that is to maintain your dignity by not granting an abusive bigot the legitimacy of inclusion in a genuine discussion.

The foregoing is a general observation and not intended to offend any individual. Unless, of course, you're an abusive bigot, in which case I imagine you'll yikes that as a personal affront. Again.

Even so, I'd like to hear Vicky's answer to the question. Not going anywhere with it, just thought it would be fair to ask her side before jumping to the conclusion that she's personally responsible for all the Yikesing going on.
