I'm reading this book at the moment, and it's crossed my mind to recommend it to you.
Whether or not you agree (and I assume you wou;dn't) you would still get a lot out of it, and you're intelligent, so you would enjoy that he uses logic and not emotion.

Thank you. I've requested it from my library.
As a child I thoroughly enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia, so much so that I wrote my first, and only, fan letter to Mr. Lewis, and received a nice reply, which was, sadly, lost in a fire years later.
Shortly after I discovered sci-fi, I tried to read his space trilogy, but found it disappointingly inferior to the Narnia Chronicles, and just not my cuppa.
otoh, 'The Screwtape Letters' was mildly amusing..

The best way to enjoy the Screwtape Letters, is as a book on tape read by John Cleese, a friend of mine lent it me a few years back, it was hysterically funny, because John Cleese has the perfect voice for it.

I'll look for that. The library has quite a collection of audio books, but unfortunately they cannot be reserved via the on line system...
Oo. I see a torrent...
