Hello SamWolf - welcome to the Guide!
So, you're from Canada, are you? I've never been there... but there's a town called Yarmouth not far from where I live on the Isle of Wight; it's on the mouth of the river Yar. 
So, you asked what to put on your user page - the best advice, I think, is to be yourself and decide what you think works best for you. Not very helpful, is it? But I think it helps in the long run. Also saying what some of your principle hobbies etc. are helps people like me who visit have something to discuss
