I play the trombone. I play it badly. But I'm in a Marching Band. Sometimes, I wonder how they could let someone as bad as me play...
There is a reason I play the trombone. Because the only other trombonist is hot, intelligent, and funny. That's actually why I took up the trombone.
Sadly, she and I had a bit of a falling out. And now playing the trombone is an annoyance.
Also, my sister is VERY musically inclined. She plays 3 types of sax, and a guitar. And she's in District Chorus (best singers in the county). She picked up on all her instruments very quickly.
Because of this, I get constant pressure from my mother to practice harder. She doesn't seem to understand that a saxophone's keys are lined up in the right order, while the trombone has 6 positions that change notes like I change socks (daily).
So, I have to weigh the options here. I really like the Marching Band people, but I can't play worth s**t.
This sucks on toast.
