Hi Ely!
I read and saw the pics from your wedding! You and your husband look really sweet together. I am too getting married this summer to OwlofDoom. We are having our wedding in Cyprus (that is where I come from). It must be so great to give your life to the person you love!

Give my life?
Nah, just married him, no fuss!
Cyprus? That's where we planned on marrying first. In Pafos. Didn't come out as we thought, though.
It was a nice little wedding though, in cold England, in a relatively sunny June. We're coming up to our first year soon.
How did you guys meet?

How we met is quite interesting I was in my second year at uni, and owl's was his first year. I had a friend at the time called Andrea whom I used to go out a lot with, and occassionally we used to go out to indie clubs. One night that we went to an indie club, she met this guy (that happened to be Owl's closest friend), and the first time she was going to meet him in a club, she asked me to go with her as she didn't want to take the risk of going alone, and so I did. That was the first time I ever met Owl, but we hardly even talked that night we were both sooo tired, and maybe said a few words to each other. Then I saw him a couple of times more when we went out all together, and we found out that we liked each other, and the rest is history as people say. Now we have been together for 2.5 years and we will get married this august.
wow I didn't know that you had planned to get married in Paphos. So have you been to Cyprus before? and how did you meet your hubby?

it's ok. Something you lear to live with on h2g2.
I've met my husband here actually. We were friends for afew months, it moved to emails, ICQ and phone calls. I'd broke up with my old boyfriend and went to see him in the UK. We've married after a year, half of it we were in 2 seperate continents (I'm from Israel) and we live in Jerusalem now.
I've been to Cyprus once - it's nice.

Your english is excellent though! (since you say you are from Israel). I've never been to Israel altough it is so close to Cyprus. There are lots of mini cruises though where you get the chance to visit Jerusalem and Cairo for a few days, and don't cost a lot.
I have so much to sort out for the wedding this summer! At least I have found a wedding dress! That was the most difficult task for me, as I think for lots of women. The remaining tasks now are just to choose the invitation card, book the dj, find a good hairdresser and make-up artist, but I'm hoping that finding a good hairdresser in Nicosia to be easy.
On top of all this preparations, I still need to study for my final year exams for my uni, and finish my dissertation.

Oh, wow! I'm happy I wasn't studying last year, though I have no idea what I want to study.
I had the dress made for me, and by the time of the wedding we had to narrow it by an inch, I think. My hair was done in a local hairdresser's place and I did the make up. We had no DJ- celebrated in a Chinese restaurant (imagine the looks from the little girls there ) and thank god- had no exams.
