hi
-
its just sunk in you are in sheffield lol
-
do you know burngreave rd, in particular the large house above the garage, if its still there.
-
back in the late 60,s, i was the caretaker of the house, and worked at, spear and jackson tools. then tempered springs down near town.
-
in 1994, i did the prints for the archites, for meaddow hall.
-
i worked then at robinson parntership, i had to take early retirement in a way, after i had two heart attacks and a mild stroke. i was running the printroom on my own, and meadow hall was the main job at the time
-
havent been back since the 1977, i will be all diff now i would think.

i tend to just fall asleep watching the small tv in the corner, if i turn the sound off lol. thats the troble with the digibox, you watch tv at the same time as doing h2 or emails.
-
im now 60+, and my memeory is less and less now, i had some good times in sheffield, only real bad time, was one night a tennant set the big kitchen afire, and i was upstairs at the top end, and trapped, till the fire brigade came.
-
the landlord wasnt to happy, but i got the job of doing the kitchen out, and dint pay rent for 6 months. plus i got payed for looking after the house, and collecting rents smiley - dragon jimxx

hi miz
-
im in contact with a lady in china, one in london, essex and a few here and there.
-
a lot left the digi and either went on sky or just pc and never sent the email to me.
-
they reduced the emails to 8 per page, max about 50 now.
-
if you store, its not by email but by how big each is, its a set bandwidth. a total pain. at one time i stored small pics and animations, under 15kb. now the most is 4 or 5 pages of 8. smiley - dragon jimxx

Have you got a keyboard?

hi miz
-
i have it was a fluke how i got it.lol
-
in the past there was a cable mag, and a comp to win a keyboard
-
i did a few comps, then one day, and k/board arrived, no details or explantion.so as they where £30 then, i couldnt afford and rang the mag number, they said i haddnt won one, so rang cable.
-
apparently over 50 had got one out of the blue.
-
someone where they where sent from had be fired, we got told, and had mailed at random about 100 out, so they couldnt ask us to return, so i got mine for nothing, i wouldnt be without it.
-
it a pest to clean out now and then, taking all the things off and getting them back in the right order lol smiley - dragon jimxx

I got mine for free, when we ordered the upgrade to digital (yes we used to be analog) I ordered it all over the phone keyboard aswell. When they came to install it they didn't bring the keyboard so the installation man said he'd got a few in his van gave me one of those but I never got charged for it, I wasn't going to say anything they have more money than me. About a year ago I picked it up and the battries had leaked so I had to throw it away, but nothing lost really.

-
as far as i know, its all being updated to fibre optic in time.

they say it should stop the freezing and sticking on tv, and speed the broadband up.

-
i saw the news on them, for a few mins, its the same old thing, out with the old, in with the new.
-
they could have incorperated them into the new powerstation to replace the old.
-
apart from lil, you will be the only one to know, since before i went to hull, ive been having a few dizzy spells, could be just bloodpressure,
-
i thought at first it was my glasses, but thats been ruled out. i didnt make it open, as lil is in hospital, and i didnt want to seem that i was doing a bandwaggon.
-
still waiting for the results from the doc.
-
i said if i got to 60 ide be happy, so if i get to 61 in oct, its a bonus lol. ,smiley - dragon jim xx
