Productive Sickness

This journal entry is NOT going to be about the kind of productive sickness that involves the projectile hacking up out of your lungs something that appears to have come from a Hollywood Sci-fi set. No, I would not burden you with a whole journal entry regarding such filth, the preceeding sentence will suffice.
This journal entry IS about the fact that I am still in recovery from an illness, which you read about above, and due to side effects from the intake of many different medications involved in convincing my body to get well, I now have x-ray vision. No. That's wrong. Double vision. Yes, from time to time I do see double now. The images ARE always identical. This is good. Were they different from one another in some way I would surely be shipped away to be put on an episode of The X-Files, and I don't want that. I don't even watch the show.
Take Three. While I am recouperating from the effects of working as a pre-school teacher while in possession of an unusually useless immune system I am trying to make some proctive use of my new found free time. Many of the Cabbage Patch Kids mentioned in my introduction are now here only in a foster CPK capacity, because at this point I have adopted too many of them and I need extra money to pay for doctor bills and all the prescription drugs that they say will make me feel better soon. So the foster CPKs are going up for sale to help me afford to recover from being sick for so long. (I was sick from working with small children for the entire 6 months I was there). Now I am sharpening my photography skills taking pictures of all the CPKs to list on the internet for sale. That's about the most financially productive thing I've done since I resigned from teaching at the pre-school.
There is, however, one other thing which I feel I should be doing while I have all this time at home to do with as I please. I just completed an article here at the Guide about playwriting, a very basic beginners guide. I have a play that has been sitting uncompleted for almost 10 years, upon posting a Guide entry telling how it's done I think now's the time to work in it. I joined a Yahoo! Playwriting Club recently thinking that the banter there might inspire me to get to work. But, sadly, the only other active members appear to be newbies at the club, just like myself. I suppose I will have to rely on myself for inspiration where getting to work on that play is concerned...

If I'm going to start writing entries for the Guide myself, it occurs to me that I should read a few first. So, I have spent this last bit of time when I should have been studying searching for odds and ends in the Guide search engine to see what other people out there have been writing about. After all, I don't want to address issues which have already been thoroughly discussed. So, I looked about a bit, and now I think I have a couple of ideas for entry topics. Sadly I can't write an entry now because I really do have to get a bit of study done this afternoon. However, I will return soon with my first official Guide entry, and perhaps another Journal entry as well.
