How big should a Windows XP partition be?
Tefkat Started conversation Nov 19, 2005
I'm reformatting Ringwraith's "new" computer (we've decided to call her Helen because she had managed to pick up so many Trojans) and thought I'd try putting windows on its own partition, but I haven't a clue.
Any ideas?
It's a 20GB hard drive.

Tef - if you need a partition on a 20Gb - try about 7Gb - that should be enough to fit all windows and program files in

Mind you......if it's Windows XP....why do you need a partition anyway??
ps.....don't trust many of these anti spybot/adware etc programs - they cause more hassle than they are worth.
I reckon it really is worth a £30 for a recognised Anti-Virus Anti everything program
