Where did you go to school? I went to Market Harborough Grammar School (it's called John Smythe now I think). That was a l o n g time ago though.

Hi........(<Have only just come across this thread and just had to post seeing as it mentioned a place /region that I had lived {although I don't know much about}>
I used to go to a 'private boarding school (Morcott Hall School)...for service brats in a small village called 'Morcott' [surprise!] In Rutland....(then changed to Lincs.......but then they changed it back to Rutland...!!) My father was in the army and most of my childhood was spent in a town called Bielefeld....also had a year at a school in Gutersloh (army brats school...again) Have since learned that the 'school {Morcott}' has once again changed back to the village hall

I know Morcott, but didn't there was a private school there. There are some Royal Air Force bases in Rutland. Was you father in any way involved with those?
I know Bielefeld only from passing though. I lived way down in Bayern.

It was Morcott Hall, (I believe it has reverted back to being a private home again) just opposite the village church. 6ft high walls around it to stop us getting out 
[was there from 1974 - 1980

Have heard of Bayern but never had the pleasure of visiting there but I do miss Germany
