Yes, I am a Goon Show fan, and also enjoyed a lot of Peter Seller's films. He was certainly an enigmatic, but talented actor!
So, you said you live in Peter Seller's flat?!?!?!? Which flat? Where? Explain and tell me all!

He lived at a flat in East Finchley High Road (obviously I don't want to put the full address in an open mail!) for many years - his parents lived there before the war and for a while after it he stayed there. Not after he got famous though! But now I live there and have to suffer the sense of humour of their and later modifications...

Favourite lines:

'Quick, we have to get the lifeboat ready! Take that piece of wood, it can be the keel...'

'What are you doing here?'
'I pawned my socks'
'But why are you in here?'
I can't get my boots off...'

Sure is a small world - I've never lived in the house of anyone famous - it must be a very weird feeling.
Or at least at first, I guess after a few weeks you kinda get used to it - do you?
So, what modifications, humourous and otherwise, do you have to suffer?

Just between you and me - it's just the same as the flat next door...

The flat has been modified over the years - some rooms enlarged, some removed, some made a bit smaller - mostly by moving walls around. So we have some really odd angles in places, and floors made in three sections, with different materials and finishes, and seven layers of previous coverings just tiled over And don't even get me started about the colour schemes - I'm sure the last owner was colourblind!

So, less a flat with personality, more a place which has suffered previous owner's personality, then...
But does it feel like "home", with all the weird bits and bobs that go with it? And are you planning on inflicting anything drastic on the next owner?
