i am still trying to get the hang of guideml, but it's much better than plain text!
it is fun, though, i was wondering, how did you get the spot on your page to post hi's to you?

You'll need to change the VALUEs of forum, threadid & inreplyto
The easiest way to do this is to create the forum you want to post to and then start to post a reply to it. When you have the "post to a conversation" screen up do a view source in your browser. Then search for AddThread - the numbers you'll need are just below it.
As an example the numbers for this forum are

thanks bruce ! did you notice that they put me onto the aces list? now i have my badge (which took about two weeks) and my name on the list! it's official, i am a full-fledged ACE!
by the way, did you get a chance to look at my page? it's coming along quite nicely thanks to guideml and some help from folks like you!

I noticed the odd posts & guessed what was happening
Don't forget you can always get the h2g2 code for a page like http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A528275 by using http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/test528275
& for a userpage eg http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U25551 with http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpage25551
