Feel free.
It's my spirit I suppose. I have a small house in the Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany (There's a document about this area somewhere on H2G2 if you're interested). I went out again on Boxing Day and came back on the 07:05 flight from Pisa this morning (meaning I and the rest of the family needed to get up at 4am - bleeah)
Why I love it is.....
It's so quiet that if you wake up in the middle of the night (which you do because it's too quiet) - the loudest thing you can hear are owls calling.
During the day the loudest things are the Cicadas (summer only) and the gentle tinkle of goat bells on distant hills.
There are at least one million stars visible in the sky, and oh - so that's the Milky Way!
I can see ten miles from the window and it doesn't look much different to the way it did 600 years ago.
And yes - one day I am going to sell up and spend the rest of my days sitting on a a hill with a flock of goats and make cheese.

it sounds wonderful, if you like peace and quiet!
I especially would love to see the Milky Way from a total dark sky viewing area...
