Personally, I'm rather useless. Don't really do much around these parts at all. In fact, I still don't think I quite understand this place yet, either. So who are Shazz and Piret? Do you know them irl or just on h2g2?

well shazz is the Editor guy at 'the post' and pirets just one of my mates on here.

this place is cool, just sit back and enjoy, chat and swap, big rules in this place, to make friends it's a good idea to talk to potential friends or you may end up with a compelxtion

Although I'm notoriously bad at IRL meets that started out as an idea on the internet or CB radio. I can no longer count the amount of times I'm supposed to have gone to the Hants 2600 meet and never made it

I saw there was some meet-up at a BBC exhibition earlier this week, but I think I'll hold out till there's some kind of pub meeting. I can handle pubs. If nobody talks to me, I've always got the alcohol to fall back on - gee - I wish there was a "drunkard" smiley.

Oh, please forgive the overuse of the smileys. please shoot me if I ever become one of those people who just post messages so they can say "here - have a ..." followed by several doughnut, beer and cake pictures.

Ahhh, the MAGIC.

Tried it out over the week-end and ended up setting fire to the cat. My housemate still isn't speaking to me.

I should realy have put a warning in... hey er... I did.

cats aren't a good thing with magic, what kind of spell did you try out?

I was trying to change it from a ginger cat to a tabby one. And I wanted to try and stop it's tongue from sticking out all the time. Oh, and cure it's horrid bad breath.

WOW, thats hard even for me and i know what chemicals are in the fur for the dirent colours, no wonder you ended up grilling it, I did say start simple and then move up. but hey, it's not my cat!

Not my cat either - hence why my housemate isn't talking to me

Anyway, I think I've worked out how to turn everything back to normal. The spell will require eye of newt and a coating of super-unleaded to be applied to the cat. I really hope I don't mess this up.

You should know that MAGIC isn't chemical, thats just an old tale to scare children if they want them to grow up to become partical physists.

The cat's been turned back okay, but it seems to be acting like a dog now. It hasn't started barking yet, but it does wag it's tail and has turned from being a predator to a scavenger
