well, thankee, for the warm welcome... as of right now, i dont have many questions about the site... its gonna take me some time before i can really grip my teeth into the guide and tear out a chunk or 2... im thoroughly enjoying every second ive spent on this site, so i see myself slipping slowly into obsessed computer nerd mode. thanks for posting

oh, i do have a few questions, now that ive done some reading since my last post, what is the deal with all the titles... patron saints, muses, aces, gurus, etc.? what are their ranks/responsabilities, and how did those jobs come about? thanks...

OK!
The ACEs are the Assistant Community Editors, the *official* team of helpers.
The Guardian Angels are researchers who didn't want to adhere to the strict code which the ACEs have to. The patronages are just a fun thing. I am Patron Saint of Empathy.
Both groups meet and greet new Researchers, and befriend them if they are welcome.
Scouts look for good entries to be submitted to the Guide.
Gurus are experts. There's not a lot they don't know.
Sub-eds prepare the entries that have passed the first stage for the Main Guide.
Muse titles are also just for fun, like the Keeper titles.
You go to the page of the person giving out the titles, and ask for the one you want.

actually, yes... i guess i applied (self-applied?) the title of "Keeper of Last Minute Disasters"... so, im using that, even though theres no offical word yet about it. its kinda odd for me to see the word muse all around, because thats my old band name, which has been plagued with controversy... im not gonna get into it, except maybe in a guide entry hopefully... ttyl
