I just happened to pass by and notice that nobody said hello to you, yet. So thought I would do it: Hi!
I don't know as much about this place as most other people around but if you have any questions or want to talk I will try my very best...
So have a nice time and why don't you try some German beer
Welcome!

I wish I could get some good German beer. Most are skunked by the time I get them. They sell St. Pauly Girl and Becks but I fear these are just brewed for the US market. Can you recommend some? I can sometimes ask the guy at the beer store to get it if I have a brand name.
Welcome!

Well I am not too much into beer drinking (rather wine), but I would always go for brown bottles, no green ones like Becks (didn't like that at all). I think the brown ones are more frome the South. So well, what do we have, of course there is Dinkelacker, Stuttgarter Hofbräu or a typical Bavarian would be Paulaner. You should try Weizenbier (wheat beer) once that's a special type (e.g. from Paulaner) but be careful, never ever drink it straight from the bottle (use a glass where you can get the whole bottle in at once) .
I guess my favourite brewery (if there is one) would be Rothaus they have a beer called Tannenzäpfle which is quite good (that's the beer I learned liking beer with), but I am not sure whether you can get it in the US because it's a smaller brewery.
Apart from that I like some Irish ones (Guiness of course and Kilkenny).
Hope that helps you a bit!
Welcome!

Hi, nice to see you again! How are things?
I think in forums it's enough to type ( = that would be an example smiley then)
What you typed you have to use if you want to put smileys on your personal space using guide html...
