Read Douglas Hofstadter's 'I Am a Strange Loop" He makes the same point in a non-mystical way. If you don't know who Doug Hofstadter is; he wrote 'Godel, Escher and Bach' but my favorite book of his is "Le Ton Beau de Marot' It's ostensibly about language translation but, being Hofstadter, it's really about how your mind works and the nature of consciousness.
You mentioned in your space that you are English, Welsh and Trinidadian. That means you must be smart, musical and beautiful. Some people have it all.

I like the smart and beautiful..thank you very much! 
but as for the musical I'm afraid not, not a musical bone in my body...although my brother is quite talented in that department!

I've found that people who say that they are not musical in fact live by a beat that common mortals can't hear.
