Hi, welcome to h2g2! I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors, so if you need any advice on anything h2g2 related, feel free to ask!
If you want to know more about what you can do now you're an h2g2 researcher, have a look at http://www.h2g2.com/Welcome , or if you're just looking for somewhere to go, try the Aces' homepage - http://www.h2g2.com/Aces - which has lots of interesting links. You can also click on the h2g2 logo in the top left corner; this will take you back to the front page, which gets updated daily with all the latest goodies.
Oh, and one more thing... while you're here, it would be great if you could contribute to the guide - try searching for some topics that interest you, and if there are no current entries on those topics, why not write one? If you're interested, have a look at http://www.h2g2.com/writing-guidelines for an idea of what we're looking for.
Have fun!

Thanks, Dr. E!
I'm currently just feeling the place out. The whole concept is good. However, I've been feeling a bit frustrated at the sluggishness of the page loads. Makes "researching" a real drag. Not exactly a rare problem on the web, I'll admit, but it seems particularly so here on H2G2. Perhaps it's just the recent upgrades I've read about?

Hmm, yes, I know what you mean. Part of the problem is the sheer volume of traffic - although the "Who's Online" box may only show 50 researchers, there are usually thousands of unregistered people browsing around who don't show up in the window. I'm assured the People Who Do That Kind Of Thing are looking at ways to speed things up though. And it gives you a chance to make a really good cup of tea while you're waiting for pages to load.
