Hi BD,
I tried three times last night to reply to you. Every time Itried to post it, it toldme I wasn't logged in and my message got wiprd. Hope I have better luck today.
Did you find the new link to my poetry website? It's at the bottom of the poems. There are 24 of my poems there. I will put some more here when I get time.I'm such a slooow typist.
Have you tried doing pages on any other sites? Yahoo has new Blog pages and I have been trying to do something there. Not doing too well. I think it's much easier here.
I saw the posts in your 'message centre' It sounds like you had a problem with someoneon the boards again. I don't know what happened ,but I hope everything is now.

Hi
I'm glad I've caught up with you some sanity in this mad world . Just had a quick look at your web site and I wanted to cry at some of your poems they are just so wonderful and touching especially the faith ones. I will tell Paula about them my friend who is going through a terrible time at the moment because her husband has cancer. It made me think of Jason too who is also having problems with cancer in the family and as he said to me last night it makes his fund raising for Cancer all the more meaningful to him. If only everyone was like that eh?
I really admire what you manage to do from your set box you put us all to shame you are
Boards who needs eh? You are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't is what one host said to me in an email. My problem is I speak my mind and stand by what I believe always gets me into trouble.
I shall read more of them now and one of these days I shall listen to Chris Needs he sounds like my kind of guy .
to you and thanks for being there.

Hi Pamela
to be so long replying, I've started a full time job and haven't been around much.... lots of reasons really. I will try and listen to Chris sometime soon he sounds well worth listening to. I rarely watch TV apart from my favourite soap and the odd good drama series....but what with the kids, housework and "changing rooms" there just don't seem enough hours in the day .
Soon be time to start thinking about , and putting up the lol it seems to start earlier and earlier doesn't it with all the shops full of C stuff?! .
We went to North Wales for the weekend the week before last and it was wonderful to get away from it all in Snowdonia. I did buy a couple of christmas presents for my brother in a climbing shop as he's a keen climber and the opportunity of an end of season sale seemed too good to resist. The weather was good and for a change it didn't rain much although we did have one shower but saw the most beautiful near Bala lake on the way back. I'm now in need of losing a few pounds as I ate far too much 5 course dinners, full english breakfasts followed by Sunday lunch and far too much since.
Take care and chat again soon.

HiBD I will have a quieter weekend this time. Last week I was in Porthcawl on Saturday and Sunday for the Elvis Festival We saw a beautiful there. It poured with rain fifteen minutes later . I thought it was supposed to do that before the
Going to Porthcawl again next Saturday for the Chris Needs concert. A lot different to the Elvis shows .It's a variety show with artists from Wales. Chris's radio show on Friday night is a live concert from Camarthen Lyric Theatre. It's two hours earlier than usual. 8 'til 11-o clock instead of 10 'til 1-o clock.
Unfortunatly there has been mayhem on his Garden message-board.
It's been invaded AGAIN. It's a small gang from the Sports boards. Very annoying I wish someone could find a solution.
I hope everything is with you.
Take care.

Hi Pamela
I'm listening to him now on listen again!!! It's a wet and dark dreary evening here so I thought I'd give him a go he's very Welsh but seems very caring and kind to all his phone in listeners. There do seem to be a lot of young children up late at night with their grandmas still I guess it's a Friday night. Ah the little girl is asking him if he's better ah and she was all worried. Although they say ta ra like they do around here I never knew the Welsh used that expression for goodbye
Your concerts sound good and the one next week. Hope you have a lovely time are you meeting up with other people you know from Chris's board?
The trouble makers on the boards usually turn out to be footbally types as I call them... Although the mentality of most football supporters is what puts me off football. Tribal, basic and windup merchants usually. My team is the best etc. etc. Thankfully my OH hates football and I'm sure some supporters are nice, decent people my friend's husband is despite being a keen Newcastle supporter so mustn't generalise otherwise I shall be as bad as them . Yes they make you but best to ignore them easier said than done I know because I've made the mistake of getting drawn in and then regret it . Still I think the geninue people outway the bad don't you?
Right better now and spend some time with the family, my son has a friend staying over and they are watching guess what the DVD of Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galazy which came out recently. First time I'd watched it last night didn't catch it at the movies. I enjoyed it not as good as the book because a lot was missed out but the special effects were good I thought.
Take care. Speak soon.

Hi BD
I'm afraid our Garden messageboard is going. I told you we had problems. If you look at the thread PAM 7416 (the longer one) on my space you will see part of what happened. Things went from bad to worse. and on post 18 the producer of Chris Needs programme posted and said "That's not a situation that should continue" So,we don't know what's going to happen now. We do have a personal board that one of the regular posters set up nearly two years ago. So at the moment we are all going there and hoping none of the pests will find it.
What a shame. Pamela

Hi Pamela
I've had a quick read Derek seems to be all remorseful after the post from the Producer!! Amazing isn't it when someone with a title appears they change? It's difficult when as he says it's public access believe you me I know.
I'm sure things will sort themselves out perhaps the changes the producer is suggesting will help? Don't despair and keep writing your lovely poems.

Hi Pamela
I didn't read your message properly I see they have pulled the board - very drastic eh? Because of a couple of troublemakers no wonder you were . Hope this doesn't mean you are leaving the BBC boards completely?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi BDG My PAM7416 thread was one of the mildest. You can still find the board on F2146579?thread="smiley - huh" title="huh" class="smiley" src="http://www.h2g2.com/h2g2/skins/Alabaster/images/Smilies/f_huh.gif"/>

Hi Pamela
Your a just listened to you you sound very Welsh as well Well done for saying about it to him.
I can see Chris's point, except reading through the link you sent me one of the troublemakers starting off by saying the board should be got rid of because it was underused etc etc, doesn't withdrawing it make them think that they have had a success in persuading the BBC that they were in the right?! I really do think an announcement should be put on the messageboard page from Chris or his producer stating the reason why it was removed.
The 606 lot are obsessed it should be these boards and the mentality that goes with it that are withdrawn, the number of posts that they clock up is unbelievable!!! Are they all manic and spend all day everyday plotting and scheming?! They came in the CB once but I think it was a less objectionable fraction, we mainly ignored them and they drifted off. It just seems like bad has triumphed over good.
I can see Chris's point about how do you vet people and you could be with someone for 50 years and they could change.....that's very true. If you haven't got anything friendly to say what's the point? That's why I had trouble on the boards for months because one manic poster who surprise surprise also posts on the 606 boards slagged me off for apparently mentioning Lucy on the boards and he didn't go on the boards to hear that sort of thing! Unfortunately one thing led to another something I bitterly regret and it all escalated from there . Chris is right its not worth all the nastiness.
Did you have a great time at the concert with your friends or is it this weekend?
Chris plays good music doesn't he?

Hi BDG Chris did put a message on the 'Garden Messageboad Closing' thread, using wounded_gul-host login.
I see they have now opened five new regional boards for Wales.
It will be interesting to see how they get on.
Yes, I did enjoy the show on Saturday. Met up again with a few of the people I got to know on the board. Porthcawl is three-quarters of an hour drive from my home, but some of the people came a longer distance and stayed in an hotel for the night. It's a seaside town and the Pavilion theatre is right opposite the sea.
