this puzzled me also; so one day I put my head against the fridge, peering in through the open door and slowly closed it (the door, not my head); and as I closed it, just before the point I could see no more, guess what happened? Yes, you're right, my head was stuck, frozen to the fridge. Took a kettle of boiling water to thaw me off....
probably all untrue of course
