Hey, I can't keep up! I was just in the middle of replying to your other post when I lost my connection to H2G2 for about 20 minutes, and when it came up again ...

Great to find someone else who knows (more than me) about Pop 2000 on H2G2!

I tend to think of it as Herbert Grönemeyer's project because I found it through his web site while trying to see if he had a new album coming up.

I ordered up the 8 CD set and the single CD of covers (_love_ Guano Apes version of Big in Japan), but didn't bother ordering the accompanying book 'cause I wouldn't be able to read it There are two things I particularly like about the CDs: 1) The constant "well I never knew _they_ were German" factor and 2) that a lot of the tracks selected are not the 1 song I know by the artist concerned.

BTW, no, I barely speak any German at all, and I didn't notice any English pages. But its music, what do I care? I can always reach for a dictionary if I need to (there's a Klett and a Langenscheidt how-to-read-German-without-knowing-any grammar book within easy walking distance).
