On the subject of viola jokes - this one was told to me by my viola teacher some years ago. I've never seen it yet on a website, so you might not know the answer to it.
What's black and brown, and looks good on a Viola player?
I'm not sure how many of us violists there are, as my request to join the Musician's Guild has so far fallen on deaf ears. Mind you, the Ignored Musician's guild is doing a great job too, in that they've ignored my request there as well!
At this rate we'll have enough to play the eight violas solo bit in the Rite of Spring! Maybe we should press for a viola smiley...
