Oops, sorry. Should I get in headfirst then?

Or would you end up chomping my nose off or something?

Post 25

Classic Krissy

Oh, my, it's you! So sorry. So sorry. Please here....*scootches over* There should be enough room for two.

We're going to St. Louis then? Does Amanda have the couch done up for me?

*thinks that she'd better tell Andy to go purchase the sofabed without her*

And...

Post 26

Spartus

Well, no. We're stopping in St. Louis for a bigger box. We can go get sofabeds all together. smiley - winkeye

Post 27

Classic Krissy

Okay. So the plan is, pick up Amanda, get a bigger box, get mailed over to London, buy a sofabed, find you and Amanda a house right around the corner or closer to live in, go out for beers.

I like it.

Post 28

Spartus

Right. Too bad the first few steps aren't already taken care of, 'cause I'd just like to have the option of going out for beers. smiley - smiley

There are a LOT of people in this box. I love having you all, but I kinda miss the days when it was just me and the packing foam.

Did anyone bring booze for the trip?

Post 31

Spartus

Like you had to ask! I brought beer seeds AND whiskey tablets. Pop two of those and you'll be fine. smiley - smiley

The beer seeds, of course, are so we can have beer right after we land. smiley - smiley

Well, if this is a party box, i'll hop in when it reaches the coast, and i'll bring the disco ball, music, the radio series on cd to while away the time crossing the atlantic.

And...

Post 34

Spartus

You have one of those tiny disco balls, yeah? 'Cause I think with all of us in here, a full-size one may not fit.

Er, mor like a marble on a thread with a lot of chinks in it, but with the right pocket laser....

It's Disco Duck time!

And...

Post 36

*tries not to sing Disco Duck*

*and most CERTAINLY never, ever owned "Mickey Mouse Disco"*

Did you used to climb on the arm of the couch and flip off so that you landed on your back on the cushions?? Our couch began a fast sag once I learned that trick.

You know, there's a lot to be said for youth, but really, how completely stupid. I was just thinking and I don't remember the first time I tried to flip off the arm of the couch, but what a lack of brain must have been involved. I'm definatly mortal these days. I did about a billion things when I was a kid that should have broken my neck.

One of my favorites was to jump out of the top of a VERY tall tree in our neighborhood. The idea was to learn to flex and roll when you hit so as not to break any bones (I remember patiently explaining this to a friend). I never broke any bones, but that's kind of like jumping off the boat to learn to swim. Not always the smartest move.

I miss that invincibility.

I just used to jump from couch to couch to the floor, from what I remember. I do seem to remember, however, that doing that kind of thing for HOURS at a time wasn't really that tiring, which was nice. Now I have to stop and catch my breath from stepping up on the sidewalk. smiley - winkeye

I climbed trees extensively from about 3rd grade until 7th. Every day, for hours on end. It's amazing though--I'm not sure if it's because you're a stupid kid and have no concept of exactly HOW dangerous that jump just was, so you have no fear, or if kids are just extra-resilient to damage.

Actually, I think it's a bit of both.

I miss it too. Maybe we should start smoking Crack™. smiley - smiley
