Interview
Posted Apr 6, 2000
I had an interview to transfer to a different department within The Company yesterday, everything was going quite well until I was asked the question:
"Why do you actually want to stay here?"
On reflection, I suppose it was fair enough to ask that, but I really floundered at the time so I'll probably be forced to put a proper CV together and move on anyway. Ho hum.

Right, I'm now over half-way through my second day back at work (well, I am if part of being at work entails having access to e-mail) and I still have over 250 unread items in my inbox. Suppose I'd better go and do some reading...

Back From Whistler
Posted Mar 24, 2000
I'm now back from two great weeks of skiing in Whistler, it managed to dump snow on a regular basis to keep the conditions interesting. Despite the unusual experience of sliding through snow, rather than over ice, I managed to escape without any major injury. Top quality fun.
What I could really have done without was being called (and woken up) by my manager at 8:45 on Monday morning (having arrived back in England at 8:30 on Sunday morning) telling me that I was booked onto a week-long course starting at 9:00. I managed to arrive by 10, not too bad at all. When am I expected to get over my 8 hours worth of jet-lag? That's what I want to know.

Ow, get off! Ouch... OK, OK Krissy, I'll write something...
Posted Jan 28, 2000
Not that I've got much to write. Um, it's snowed some more at Heavenly, although fat lot of good that does me now. The one day I got before leaving was somewhat hampered by lack of snow, there's only so many times you can ski one run without getting bored.
Ouch! Ah, obviously you don't want to read anything about snow then Krissy? How about jogging? Haven't been jogging for ages though, so I don't have anything to say about that.
I'm meeting up with (in alphabetical order) Ant, beeline and Peta tonight, that, surely, is worthy material for a journal mention. This means that I've got approximately 7 hours to recover from my Friday hangover before I set about acquiring a Saturday one.
Right, that's all for now. More in another 12 weeks.

Snow At Heavenly
Posted Oct 29, 1999
At last they've managed to plop a bit of snow on the Sierras over by Lake Tahoe. Just when I was beginning to think that I wouldn't have the chance to go skiing again before moving back to Blighty.
