So as not to derail the Reading thread...
Do you book-cross then? Have you ever found one? I've always wanted to try it but I like to keep my books. So I do Postcrossing instead.

Hi there! Yes, it's good to keep the different topics separate
I did try bookcorssing, although I also love my books and have difficulties giving them up. I am very possessive with books - it has happened to me to like a book borrowed from the library so much that I go and buy it for myself just so that I can have it and re-read it later
So you can imagine that it wasn't easy to let go a book and bookcross it! That's why I chose books I didn't really like and use the chance to clear up some space on my bookshelves
And yes, I did feel a bit embarrassed about that, but I tried to tell myself that I am giving the books a chance to be liked by somebody else!
Sadly, I have never found one myself! Here they don't have many bookcrossers, the get to the releases spots are very few and far away, so I never managed to get to the new releases early enough...
And how do you do the Postcrossing?

This is Postcrossing: A10726850 (well, my h2g2 version of it...)
basically you register and send a postcard, and when yours is registered as having arrived, a random person gets your address and eventually you get a card. (mostly they come from Finland )
And if you don't mind me asking, where is "here"?

From Finland? Are the Finns the most eager post-carders? I haven't noticed THAT peculiarity when I was there, when was it... oh, 8 years ago!
No, of course I don't mind - here is Sofia, Bulgaria. Very hot place these days

Hot? It's hot here too, for a change!
I'm not sure why it is, but there are proportionately more Finns registered for Postcrossing (per head of population) than any other country. They have embraced writing postcards with alacrity!

May be it's because of the Finnish dream! Finns like to explain that their dream life involves a house in the forest by the lake with the closest neighbors miles and miles away. If you have that, you may feel the need to keep in touch with the outside world by other means
I myself prefer meeting people over and
