but we're on the half way mark towards xmas already, im just wondering what santa will bring me this year or if i have been good enough so as to get my pressents

Anything really good on your list? If so being good may pay off. I guess the general stuff "go early to bed, don't eat all the sweets and say thank you" should suffice!

despite all your speculations, i think, the whole chrsitmas-santa-presents story is a matter of connections just like anything else by the way

I did that once myself! Very much regretted it later! My mother has bought me a book. I liked it so much that I spent many days in the closet reading it. By the time I got it officially I already knew it by heart...
