Boy it feels like the first day of grade school. Step into the cafeteria-the first person you sit next to will be your friend for the next 5 decades. Provided he's not a p***k. I don't think your a p***k. Thanks for such a quick response. I have comics in my veins. My current faves are Bone, Cerebus, Castle Waiting, Planetary, and Alan Moore's ABC line. Hey, my wife is home. I'll talk to you later. Thanks for dropping by.

Hi again like i said we are friendly here.
I did read a lot of comics at one time but don't seem to read that many now.It started to cost to much, then the my comic shop closed down(he was having trouble getting comic from the u.s.a. it took 3 month to get them by which time they was out of date)so i just stoped reading comics.
It was not long after that i started reading the disc world books so maybe that had something to do with me not reading them as well but i still read them now and again.

Hey Timelord, The Pratchett books are fun. I often grow a little tired of his prose, so I usually stick to his DEATH and Unseen University books. The Guards and the Witches stuff just doesn't do it for me as much. I have a friend who has read EVERYTHING, so he advises me what to read when the Discworld bug bites me. Where you at in England. I visited once for about 8 days about 9 years ago. I basically toured on a bus that went around the British Island in a rough coastal circle. I enjoyed Statford ( forgive me, but it seemed a tourist trap, enjoy it thou I did ), and most of all the Lake District, and Edinburgh.
Sorry to hear about your Comic Shop troubles. I worked in one for a while, so news of any shop closing down is a bad bit of news. If you like the adventure type of books I recommend traking down an Image book called Tellos. Fun fantasy stuff.
Well gotta clean the house here. Have fun.

Yes it is a sad thing to watch a shop die i worked in a all night service station that closed down just two month ago to watch it go from a shop that could take £2000 in 8 hours at night to having to tell people that we had no sweets at all no crisps and on the last night no petrol and only one type of cigs(that had been there at least 16 month)was heart breaking.
I come from bradford in west yokshire about as far away from the sea as you can get in England(about 70 miles).

Hey Timelord. I just made an error in something. Did I assume that you were from England? sorry if I did. I hate to assume things like that, and If i did, then you are a good sport for seeing it all thru ok. BTW what kind of cigs were they, the label or brand? just curious. details like that tend to stick out in my mind. Is yokshire on the west or east of the island. I may have passed thru it.
anyhoo, see ya here.

The only cigs we had on the last night were consulate we even sold all the crushed packs that were to go back as damaged.
Yorkshire is in the center of england it was the biggest county but they split it up now its west, south, north yorkshire and humberside.(i think that it is now called east yorkshire)

I've seen Consulate on this side of the pond, sells for about $1.50 a pack (around 3 pounds I guess). I used to be a strict non-cheap cig smoker. Camels or nothing was my motto. Then people started suing tobacco companies over here, so up went the price. Now my motto is: cheap stuff until I get the will to quit. Really I smoke about 2/3 a pack a day, much better than when I was 20, 9 years ago. An hey, play hokey all you want to I am game. Actually with the time difference, I think you are 8 hours ahead of me, It is now 8:00 pm as I type. I think you are about at what 4:00 am or somesuch. So when you go to work at 9ish, I have been sleeping for about 3 hours. BTW I live in Lexington, Kentucky. About 4-5 hours west or the Atlantic,1 and 1/2 hours south of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are famous for our University of Kentucky Men's basketball team, bourbon, horses and other stuff. I just like it hear because it doesn't kill my allergies anymore.
Yo.
