apology for last week's conversation: I was referring only to the party, and immediately thereafter decided to go anyway, thereby abandoning all computer-related diversions and getting all dressed up in a stupid fancy dress for a stupid boring party where there was nobody worth impressing with a stupid fancy dress anyway, except the dog.
