Lazy?
Posted Nov 27, 2001
Life is been treating me good and bad.
good: I've managed to keep my job through two rounds of layoffs at my company. I'm still in good general health.
bad: My truck broken down to the tune of $670 US. Ouch. My company is moving farther out of town, so I will have a long commute.
I've discovered that "Starship Titanic" refuses to run on Windows 2000. Sigh. This is ok, because so little of my amusements run on it. I've got better things to do with my spare time anyway, such as reading for the first test for my CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification. My little ISDN router does not support the nifty IP Telephones our company is using now. This is ok, I use my cell phone for the most part.
Here's my home page, for those that care:

a clean room is the sign of a sick mind.

Or something like that.
I got around to cleaning my room this weekend, at least on of them. I think we might have found Jimmy Hoffa in the process. That, and I also sorted through some stuff that I've been lugging around for the past ten years or so. Needless to say, a lot of it got thrown out.
The next room to be cleaned (next weekend) is most likely the computer room. It's not quite as bad, but it could use a cleanup so that's what I'll be doing.
I'm going to Seattle this week on the company nickel. Sounds like a good place to go, I'lll try and post some pic when I get them.
I was at Texas a few weeks ago. Not much to see there, except a few rather well known sites.
oh, and I bought a DVD player and a new TV to replace the old one which has been slowly dying. I bought Fantasia 2000 as a test disc, and was amazed.
for all those REAL computer geeks out there, Yes i am going to buy "The Matrix". Saw it in the theater, and will buy the DVD. IT's worth it.

Yiddish is a colerful language. You can express your feeling much better then resorting to the more traditional expletives.
Part of my job is to travel to various places.
in the past two weeks, I've been to (in order):
Albuquerque, New Mexico for an overnight.
Sunnyvale, California for a night.
Anaheim, Burback, and Santa Barbara, all in California for a two day gig.
I'm leaving tonight for the wonderful city of Austin, Texas.
I'd stuff some pictures here but I don't want to bore the sole person that reads these >
Just edited the laser printer article I did a while back, just to clear it up a bit. I'm think of ading a companion for the color models, but who really cares anyway.
Not much fore to say, so I'd best get packing.

This is the Big Numero Uno I guess.
Since I've always had this bend on the Hitchhikers Guide, I figure maybe writing an article or two for this version might be fun at the least.
However, as I have not seen a lot, It might be not be a whole lot of info.
Nothing happening at the moment, getting ready for what I laughingly call work tomorrow. Joy.
